There once was a sailor who sailed out into the sea
To find a land he had never seen
And he travelled far looking for the promised land
Upon which he could build his lighthouse

And there was a bright silver eye watching over him each night
And there were colourful northern lights reflecting waves in the sky

A long time ago he promised his unborn daughter
He’ll build her a lighthouse so she could find him when it’s time for her to come
A lighthouse so tall and shining so far she could see it from anywhere
A lighthouse so bright she would never feel alone no matter where she would go

But as he never found the land
She never found the place she had to find
