This voice inside my head brings sleepless nights. There is no rest for these eyes. It screams it shouts. Day in and day out. Telling me the lies I want to hear, even at the cost of someone else. How do I wage a war against myself? Waves keep crashing against these walls I've built to keep myself safe. I'm beginning to see through the cracks. I'm beginning to lose my faith. I can feel the world tearing me apart. I struggle to make amends with how my life has unfolded, when all I feel is discontentment. This is my fault, my lack of faith and compassion brought me to this place of isolation. I try to find comfort in all these clichés, but I still find myself face down in disgrace. This war must be worth fighting for. Will I ever find the balance that will keep this voice at bay? Or is this how you made me? Nothing ever stays the same. I need time to reflect on everything, assure me I'll be ok. I just want to carry truth behind all the words I say. We love trying to bridge the gap between the truth and what we want to hear. Until we burn this bridge to the ground, we will always fall short. Fall short from moving forward. This is the ongoing rescue. My trust is with you.
