12. Efterklang - Swarming
Though our favorite Danes have surpassed their accomplishments on Tripper with subsequent albums, “Swarming” still remains something of a ‘hit single’ for the group. From the opening barrage of pulsing bass, blipping electronics, and that difficult to count time signature, “Swarming” is a classic. Present are all the elements that the group would alter perfect: the chorus of voices, delicate strings, and wonderfully timeless melodies. “Swarming” would introduce audiences all over the world to Efterklang, and its charming and irresistible quality are an ideal representation of what the collective would proceed to accomplish. Some bands have a certain magic to them that could be considered a true mark of greatness, Efterklang's has never wavered. (Joseph Sannicandro)
