With a name resembling a computer game cheat, UpcDownc have their work cut out for them in order to impress post-rock listeners. “Comfort Me, I’ve Lost My Heart” does exactly that. A buildup spans the entirety of the track without stumbling on a moment of boredom; this song impeccably flows from start to finish and leaves the listener in awe. Tension builds up for almost half the track length and the release or “comfort” is finally achieved by the end through a barrage of proficient drumming and overdriven guitars. Early in its career UpcDownc mastered the post-rock dynamics and immediately put them to good use in forging some of the best instrumental tracks of the decade; "Comfort Me..." is just the tip of the iceberg.
