He took the right elevator closed the doors on me I took the left one which proceeded to stop On every other floor which really angered me It was a painful journey to the top
And when I reached the highest floor I took the stairwell up To the roof where I was gonna jump But when I reached the top the guy who closed the doors on me Was already there about to go
But now he's jumping , he's falling ,his conscience tells him he's done wrong But when he hit the ground he thought, "Oh god , a-what a-have I done?"
Yeah my momma loves me with the back of her hand, taught me how to feel And I’m covered lies and I’m covered in sin, to the death of me I don't know how but I’ll do it again Something tells me I’m not alone when i say this
I met in a bar late on a friday night She was everything a woman could be But when I saw her standing on the edge I hid my eyes Oh what a waste oh what a tragedy
But now she's jumping ,she's falling, her conscience tells her she's done wrong But when she hit the ground she thought, "Oh god ,a-what a-have I done?"
Yeah my momma loves me with the back of her hand, taught me how to feel And I’m covered lies and I’m covered in sin, to the death of me I don't know how but I’ll do it again Something tells me I’m not alone when i say this
But now I’m jumping , I’m falling ,my conscience tells me I've done wrong But when I hit the ground I woke up shaking ,trembling in my bed It's better when you're dreaming
Yeah my momma loves me with the back of her hand, taught me how to feel And I’m covered lies and I’m covered in sin, to the death of me I don't know how but I’ll do it again Something tells me I’m not alone when i say this
