I've waited till I was ghastly pale for Her to at last sail her frail yet vast masts back to the port of my youth, past the borders of sooth Into the harshness of martyrs' last breaths as they gasp & death grasps them Yet as she casts her anchor & lies there & I cast my anger & pride bare Into the ocean, with the sins that choke me Like a cloak over a dim lantern I dive off the coast & swim with them till I overdose from the potent notions Yet within mantras from my righteous boasts & penned banters stem Light's answers Though the Night cloaks them & my might's frantic to bystanders I lie stranded, indecisive yet hopeful as I sight my soul lested from my shell frolicking with these majestic & hellish Creatures in the Sea, creeping into my being Seeping into my dreams till they've breached Every piece of me, this scenery leaves me weakened Breathing deeply as I'm reading your thesis Your magnum opus, I'm dragged into hopelessness Only to fathom this potent gift The duality of Nature, The Eightfold paces of my Path Out of reality into the vapours of the Aethers Till I'm traceless & speechless Yet I speak & taste of the meekness Of your greatness, revel within it encased like a gem fractally refracting the vessel's shimmering masked facets My past tenses are erased as I hem my destiny with mathematics In this cast sentence, I am But laughter's apprentice Etching these crafted tablets Desolate like Black Magic View them with vast lenses when you peer, I pray thee, don't construe them as crazy, or mere ghastly mentions Like tear gassed peers massacred or lynchings The past is but an inkling The future is the mast of the ship Yet I'm but a raft adrift After the ship's sinking From the mast tipping & crashing Into the deck, so I sifted & grasped what was left & crafted my raft from it Battled with Death & mastered it With hazardous tactics blasphemous I dashed & dipped into madness Lashed & whipped by crashing waves of sadness Yet all this was but a phantom passing My spirit glances back & re-enters as a ball of mist I watch the tall ship, weary, then I dance & laugh...
