More than 11 people have died in serious floods on the island of Mauritius. Most of the people died in the underground because they couldn't run away. The rain hit the island's capital on Saturday. Within two hours the strong rain turned roads into rivers.

Emergency services have been working nonstop. But not everyone could be saved. Weather forecasts say more storms could cause more floods soon. People are hoping that more rain will not bring as much death and destruction.
