From Star vs. the Forces of Evil - Mewnipendence Day. Just a couple of tracks to post this week – one from each episode.

This is one of my favorite sequences of the season. The writing is spinning a bunch of plates – history of Mewni, Toffee’s motivations, Buff Frog’s conflict, and Star’s realizations that what we are told as children is not always true. So it was fun to weave in and out of these moments with the score; the cue starts out with a military feel, then switches to danger as the fighting starts, then a switch when Buff Frog appears, and then this mixture of tension and conflict as Buff Frog makes his run and Star has second thoughts.

I mean, I think all that stuff is happening in the music. I could be completely wrong.
