California accent - Cali-24 Clovis | Текст песни

I was born in Fresno, California, and raised in Clovis, Cali- fornia, which is a little suburb of Fresno, and, yeah, I grew up there my whole life in the country, and then right after high school I graduated and decided I needed to get out of there, and moved to go to San Diego State. So I went to San Diego State for school for two years and transferred to Long Beach State, so, still Southern California, and graduated from there in 2010 and then moved to Los Angeles and have been here ever since, working in film and television, which is awesome.
I’m an actress, but to support myself and pay the bills, I do costumes and wardrobe. I, let’s see, I actually have my Bach- elors degree in textiles and design, fashion design, so, you know, I didn’t want to go into the fashion world, and so I looked for other outlets while I was in school still and started interning at Western Costume, and then as soon as I gradu- ated, I got a job as a costume PA through Western Costume on Horrible Bosses. Yeah, and so from then on I just kind of have gotten other costume jobs from knowing other people, meeting people in doing different movies, and...
Clovis, yeah. It is, it’s interesting, it’s very different from LA, probably opposite. It’s very conservative. There’s Old Town Clovis, which everybody gathers on Friday nights for, like thefarmers’ market is really a big deal, I mean they are around LA, too, but it’s, there’s only one in Clovis, and that’s where everybody is on a Friday night, and there’s a lot more homes now, track homes and stuff, but when I was growing up, it was, my high school was surrounded by orange groves and peach orchards. Yeah, and I grew up around that, groves
and orchards, and yeah. My grandfather was a cattle rancher and grew cotton my whole life, so it’s kind of what I grew up around. I, when I visit my grandfather in Bakersfield, I would help him plant cotton, sometimes my brother would help him irrigate, and at home we lived at, we lived on two and a half acres and raised sheep, and so, yeah, kind of I guess we had our own little orchard on our two and a half acres and...
Raising sheep was fun. I mean, now when I look back on it, it was a really cool experience. Then I didn’t like getting up at five in the morning before school to bottle feed the lambs because the mothers couldn’t produce milk. We actually didn’t have that many. We had about six when we had the most. It was just for our family so. I think my dad sold the wool when they were sheared, but I did have to eat those little lambs that I bottle fed, too, so it was really hard for
me and I still give my mom a hard time about it because I couldn’t leave the dinner table until I finished it. Yeah, that was Flopsy. And I didn’t know that I was eating him at the time until my brother thought it was hilarious to tell me that I was, and then I didn’t want to eat him, but, yeah, I had to stay at the dinner table until I finished him.
