Late at night I watch the cars Quickly passing by… Several people on their way Driving somewhere… Some are happy, some are not, Some are hollow, Some lost something they had got, Others seized something.
Old and young, men and women, Quickly drive somewhere To the silent horizon Till they vanish… And the moment they are gone I’ll be thinking “All of them are going home… Each to his own home…”
I’m drained and so vacant now I cannot explain it… My heart is so naked that I feel it bleed. At once I am drained of life, I’m dying on my own… Can anyone save me here And tell me where’s my home?
Precious life is what I’ve got But still it is of no good ‘cause I don’t belong to anywhere, To anything or anyone here. My precious soul is full of woe ‘cause no-one equals to me… I’ve left my home once upon a long ago And roam for centuries.
Eyes and faces, smiles and tears, Quickly pass me by To the silent horizon Till they vanish… And the moment they are gone I’ll be thinking “All of them are going home… Each to his own home…”
I’m drained and so vacant now I cannot explain it… My heart is so naked that I feel it bleed. At once I am drained of life, I’m dying on my own… Can anyone save me here And tell me where’s my home?
All I need and pray for Is a little drop of power To hold on my way Day after day. O, my god, give me strength To forgive my enemies As you forgive me Every day.
I’ll walk through the tempest now (to my home) And fight through the fire… (to my home) I’ll take every test you give (to my home) And carry on. Someday you will lay me down, (to my home) You’ll silence my heartbeat (to my home) And take me away from here (to my home) To my only home…
