When I was a child I used to do music exams and for every music exam I had to learn a piece of music. Now, I used to play the drums. I started when I was five and I did, er, seven different music exams, seven grades, and for every exam I had to learn a piece of music.
At the beginning it was only ten bars or something but it was really hard and I used to practise them over and over again and I used to drive my parents crazy because, um, obviously I was playing the drums at home. At the beginning I used to play just on books and so it was quite quiet. But then when I was seven I got my first drum kit and I um played constantly and the same pieces over and over again. That was one thing that I had to learn by heart.
