12 апреля 1944-го года в городе Tilzit(ныне г.Советск Калининградской области) родился Йоахим Фриц Крауледат, известный миру под псевдонимом Джон Кей(John Kay), основатель и бессменный лидер легендарной группы Steppenwolf, стоявшей у самых истоков тяжелого рока. В 1968-м году Steppenwolf исполнили композицию "Born To The Wild", в мгновение ока ставшую гимном американских байкеров. В этой песне впервые прозвучало выражение "Heavy Metal" , и именно из этой песни оно было взято музыкальными критиками, как название целого направления в рок-музыке.
