Divine Doyle ( real name - Michael Doyle) is one of the first pioneers of abstract grain. Started his expirements in early '70, recording "samples" on a tape and mixing on multichanell audio systems, which he had access to working in Abbey Road studio as practicing sound engineer assisstant. Later he got the job of sound engineer in Manchester All-studios, where he continued his work secretly. Right until his death in car crash in mid 80s. His works stayed undrground and gained success only among very small group of pioneering musicians and fans like him.
This particular track is one of his earliest. There is one myth about it: they say, voice sample that can be heard in the middle of composition is a sample of conversation of famous Palu McCartney and Ringo Starr of The Beatles. Although it can't be proven, fans always been trying to prove or disaprove it, and so, in one of the interview question was addressed to Paul McCartney himself and he said: "Maybe, there were a lot of crazy things we've done in 70s".
