The album, which is titled 'Kinshasa One Two' and has been given a release date of November 7 2011, was recorded in the Democratic Republic Of Congo, after Albarn travelled to the country with a large group of musicians and others to record the album.

These included Kwes, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Franz Ferdinand producer Dan The Automator, hip-hop producer Jneiro Jarel, XL Recordings boss Richard Russell, Actress, Marc Antoine and Jo Gunton.
