The roots that burned to ashen dust

I watch a moth drawn to this flame
Attracted and burned in vain

This pale moment of clarity
The scattered ashes are still staining me

I lay myself into a river
A journey into the unknown
Shall it drown my fears
And wash away the hopelessness

And I start to quiver
In this weary and cold embrace
I drown all mistakes
But solitude slowly molds to hate

Wide awake
The falling tides start to inundate
Yet it swallows me again
Reflections of a million worlds
So various and so profound

Behind this ivory wall
Your higher built, your deeper fall!
Won’t you help me
Before I drown in misery?
My story is still untold
Hear my distress signal on the shore
Did my choking words
Fell short of reaching open ears?

“Sink into your fears
Arraigning all your deeds
Still learned nothing“

But darkness speaks to me
In silent rage
Afflictions of the pure
Impaired and drowned in agony
Admission enshrouds this misery

Mature views no god can teach
