Poetry
“I’m sitting there in the living room, feeling pretty choked up I might add. I’m SPRAWLED across the floor staring out the window as the cars drive by the house, and occasionally I’ll close my eyes. I’ll shut them real real tight. The kind of tight that makes your nose kinda SCRUNCH UP and all that good stuff. Anyways I’ll sit there with my eyes shut real tight and suddenly I’ll hear this SCREECH and I don’t know how it’s possible but I SQUEEZZE my eyes shut even tighter and like I said i can hear the screech of the tires coming close to my house real close I can practically hear them kissing the pavement and I open my eyes suddenly and I see the HEADLIGHTS BEAMING into the window into my eyes, so bright, brighter than the sun. And there I was, a deer in headlights finally understanding why they never moved out of the way or at least for a split second I thought I could GRASP it. I wanted to die. I wanted the sun coming from the headlights to kiss my face and body. I wanted to melt into the car. I wanted to be gone"
