The New Adam has led the old up to the stars, the whole of Creation now celebrates its Creator. Now Mary (the mother) of James, Mary Magdalene, and Salome bring fragrant oils. To them, an angel in a white robe announced: The Lord has risen, and death is trampled underfoot. Leaving behind Hell, destroyed and plundered, the victor brings the spoils up to the stars. Then he shows himself in glorious form to his beloved disciples in Galilee. A a companion, hiding along the way, he exhorts them, and through the scripture, the pious reveals the mysteries. At their meal he is recognized in his true form: The breaking of the bread produces a bright light. Praise and honor to Him.
