Cheka officer or Chekist - Emergency Commission (Chrezvychainaia Komissiia, Cheka) officer during the Red Terror times in the early Soviet Union (1917-1922). Millions of innocent people were tortured and killed by the Emergency Commission, which represented the Red Terror.
Modernism: minimalism. Composed by Ernest Deriabin. From the musical "I (Romance)" directed by Ernest Deriabin (based on the same name novel "I (Romance)" (1924) by Ukrainian writer Mykola Khvylovy. His impressions of the work as a CheKa officer are reflected in this novel, the hero of which - the head of the local Cheka - sentenced his mother to death in the name of the ideals of the revolution.
