so arch yr lightened face assailed stained by broken words tumbling from a face that fails you reading as a twisted blur
now that the night is here morning spells fear drowing all I say and all that I recognise so little of cheer so little of grace
and so, lips parted eyes dimming like sleep ah, sometimes to drink to cease the thirst be at some of peace in all this breaking world to be taken awhile in raptures so strange to almost not know this place and just to forget fate forgetting this day forget this day
my evening again I'm watching staring up into white flowers of night a connection fired between earth and sky unravelling the lines of sight that run from longing eyes eyes that espy such dear dead divining lights
and I forget awhile forget the cry forget the fears the cries the smiles
