The icy water runs between my fingers Just like our sorrow we know how it lingers. I sniff a glow hole, food on my cold hands (?) Painted so perfectly, tailoured to circumstance.
Two hearts before me and one is broken And still I find it's just outspoken. It would seem a fresh one is still fitting But things would be false where sorrow's sitting.
It's strange how all our fears come friend when fitting nears (?) The milk bills on the floor, it's right for tears to fall (?). We look for better ways to try and tip our fate, But take nothing for granted, it's humans' famed mistake (?)
Two hearts before me and one is broken And still I find it's just outspoken. It would seem a fresh one is still fitting But things would be false where sorrow's sitting.
Which heart should I pick? Which one's likely to fit? I trust to bring with you or wondering fate for fuel (?) We need a healthy heartache to try and hide our mistakes We need to try and fail to turn our trials frail (?)
Two hearts before me and one is broken And still I find it's just outspoken. It would seem a fresh one is still fitting But things would be false where sorrow's sitting.
