Georgie Price (1901-1964) started performing on the streets of New York at the age of five and mastered many arts including tap dancing, singing and imitations. As a youth he was discovered by Gus Edwards an organizer of successful vaudeville acts with special emphasis on promoting the talents of young people. In the 1920s Price performed in Shubert and Ziegfeld musical productions on Broadway and made several records for Victor. His stage act often included impersonations of Al Jolson, Harry Richman, George Jessel, Eddie Cantor and George Cohan
