Gunnar Gunnarsson is one of Iceland’s most prominent piano, keyboards and organ players. He has been active on the Icelandic jazz scene for over 25 years and recorded a variety of styles from jazz, fusion, classical and religious.
In this CD is from 2005, joined by fellow Icelanders, bassists Tómas Einarsson, Jón Rafnsson, Gunnar Hrafnsson, Gunnar plays his own originals and recalls traditional tunes of his native country in a mild, sweet, jazzy way. There is a lot of inspiration, quietness and positive mood in this work as the result of a very special senibility of this elegant musician.
