She put the needle into her vein, day after day, to take away the pain. For fifteen years, she was an addict. For half of her life she struggled to kick the habit. One day she woke up, her arm black and infected, she said "I don't want to die, how could this happen?"; An old injection site and a broken dirty needle, she did all she could to hold on. But the infection spread too far, they amputated her arm and half of her jaw. For four long days and nights she put up a fight, hoping she'd get another chance, at a much better cleaner sober life... I got the call at four a.m. she won't be coming home again, never again will i see her face, never again will i hear her voice. I wish i could go back and say all the things i wanted to say. I wish i could go back so i could change all of our mistakes.
