Intro: Ok. Ok. Alright. Alright. Hold on. Yeah. Let me tell y’all somethin’ man. The love of money is the root of all evil.
It comes and goes, man. So I feel like, while I’m on earth, I’m goin’ green. Let me show y’all what I mean, man.
Verse 1: Ok, ever-honest to goodness, I gotta testify. I’m seein’ the spiritual growth and it’s a pleasant sight. Goin’ green is not limited to physical exercise. Good trees only bear good fruit, so I can’t use pesticides.
Although temptations be buggin’, tryna get the best of me. But in the midst of strugglin’, I do believe blessed is he Who repents and overcomes their ungodly environments. A lifestyle of lavish-livin’ is how all my time was spent.
I used to overvalue cars, women, and costly jewels. But I repented. Tears I shed like spots wit’ lots of tools. I know it’s a spiritual battle. A colossal duel So I rely on His Word. I consume it like fossil fuel,
Gassin’ me up for the journey, thanks to my Heavenly Father. The Lord is my shepherd. He’s feedin’ me heavenly fodder. I feel reenergized wit’ this newness of my mind. Been a believer but, now I’m Crucified wit’ Christ!
Hook: By the grace of God’s Son, I’m goin’ green. The renewin’ of my mind is for the Holy King. I recycle the good (good), gettin’ rid of the trash (trash). I’m cleanin’ up my act, by repentin’ all my past. (Repeat once.)
Verse 2: I used to surround myself wit’ attractive models, Makin’ the clubs pop like liquid sold in plastic bottles. Wastin’ paper like it was goin’ to landfills. It wasn’t ‘til my revenue came to a standstill.
It got real. Couldn’t get any more organic. Right on the brink of losin’ it all but I didn’t panic. The Lord had to sit me down ‘cause I went astray. Took some time to read His Word and see what the Scriptures say.
Matthew 19:24 will humble all the lofty people. It’s easier to get camels through the eye of a needle Than for a rich man to be granted entrance into Heaven. Regardless of the zeroes, we always bein’ tested.
It ain’t ‘bout who got the most material things. God is judgin’ how we live. It’s a spiritual thing. That’s why I live for the King. He got me walkin’ down the narrow path. I seek eternal life. Somethin’ that will always last.
Hook: By the grace of God’s Son, I’m goin’ green. The renewin’ of my mind is for the Holy King. I recycle the good (good), gettin’ rid of the trash (trash). I’m cleanin’ up my act, by repentin’ all my past. (Repeat once.)
Verse 3: I love readin’ the last chapter of Revelation. It makes me smile wit’ anticipation of transportation To the Tree of Life, where I hope to partake in Its fruits, while its leaves are for the healin’ of the nations.
Can’t wait for God’s new green earth. I’m sure it’s beautiful! But now we fightin’ ‘gainst the ugly field of Pharmaceuticals.. The Government, made it illegal for farmers growin’ hemp. Instead of growin’ herbs and medicines we gotta go to them.
They bringin’ darkness to the future of our bright kids, Pollutin’ them every day when they open their eyelids. Sowin’ seeds of deceit, yieldin’ evil hybrids. I’m speakin’ from experience but I decided
I did not want to be played like a dummy. Blinded by my success, yet felt somethin’ in my tummy: Love and marriage to dollars is for the Al Bundys. Word to Bizzle, I feel him. It’s God over Money.
