Bassist Michael Evdemon writes about Greek guitarist John Raptis 2005 CD, "The Circle is the perfect title to describe the "spirit" of the team (Raptis, drummer Kalistridis and myself). All three of these guys share the same way of thinking regarding "making music". To improvise, to communicate, to listen, to support, to have fun - these are only a few of the phrases that describe their way of making music. Putting these words together we have a "circle" of harmonies, grooves and solos that make these guys feel free and content." The listener will hear Raptis work his improvisational magic on guitar and guitar synth over the seven instrumental fusion tracks, an exciting follow up to his 2004 album, "Trip".
