Creating misguided views of how
We should live in the now.

And we burn out this ageing oil.
We founded underneath the soil.
Illuminating this barren cell.
We made our Hell.


Where’s there’s abundance we drain it all.
Where’s there’s life we enslave it all.
In innocence we find a way
To enslave and drain.
Self-satisfied we think of man
As the pinnacle of life around.
Forgetting God as the thing we know
Runs the show.

And consumerism rages on.
