LIGHT AT BOTH ENDS OF THE TUNNEL - Music for a while | Текст песни

Bambam Rodríguez (doublebass) and Artemisz Polonyi (vocals) perform classical and folk songs underneath the Winterdale Arch on the west side of New York City's Central Park, taking advantage of the distinctive acoustics of the arch to create an energetic and haunting live show. Seasoned international performers, (Rodríguez is from Venezuela; Polonyi a Fulbright recipient from Hungary), the duo, under the name LIGHT AT BOTH ENDS OF THE TUNNEL, strives to create a unique cultural experience for the everyday New Yorkers who pass beneath the arch.

After a successful IndieGoGo campaign in fall of 2013, the duo recorded an album beneath the arch in front of a live audience which they will release in 2014. The first mastered track, Music For A While, was written by English composer Henry Purcell in 1692.

Music for a while
Shall all your cares beguile.
Wond'ring how your pains were eas'd
And disdaining to be pleas'd
Till Alecto free the dead
From their eternal bands,
Till the snakes drop from her head,
And the whip from out her hands
