Awake in my room, Where morning fills the air I feel impressed by the dream I’ve seen few seconds before
I want to catch the glimpse of this vision But it’s slipping away from my mind Peaceful gardens of fantasies Call me to visit them again And I ask myself: “Why can’t I live In the world of my own dreams?” Unsuccessfully trying to draw what I’ve seen
Incredible powers of human mind Create their galaxies every night Experience, feelings and subconsciousness Build these unstable structures But when the day comes, shining everywhere We open our eyes and wash away These newborn galaxies
I try to remember my dream again And I’m perplexed by questions of the universe Why is everything so surreal in that world, Which attracts me more than this, warmed by daylight Why all the things seem so hypertrophied Like if I had the second sight Why the joy becomes absolute happiness And fear becomes nightmare madness?
Tripping through ivory mazes of fantasies Sapphire caves and amethyst rivers Sounds of gentle drums over fields of snow And lilies-of-the-valley singing at the gates of May I’m taking tea with Hatter and mr. Dodgson I find myself in the old and beautiful tale
Sailing on the wind of fantasies Watching the seas of illusions Speaking with voices of memory Streaming through bright imagination Asleep in my room Where night unveils its secrets I feel impressed by images Of pure English nonsense
