Wake up, it’s anima, bask in the light
That snake(2), with no face, moistens its parched throat Shaken by Akasha, the illusions of the unconscious that you can’t see
The ether scatters, rips up the light
The silver(3) engulfed by the vortex of corruption, that sin Shaken by Akasha(1), the illusions of the unconscious that you can’t see
Trust your body to the burning flames(2) Hug I, who melts down to the bone Even if by chance you throw your body into hell I’ll still be looking at you
The inner individuality is again a stage, where the conceptual and intrinsic parts of affairs become clear. In that place, what is forever hidden from your external intuition is revealed as it is. Kundalini is sometimes described as a coiled snake, which when awakened„ burns its way up the central channel to the Sahasrara Chakra at the top of the head. It’s like a spiritual enlightening, kind of. (3) Finally, silver is often associated with the Ajna Chakra, the third eye - making the silver here like a mirror, and the line is like, the sin of self-discovery or self-awakening.
Lastly, anima refers to anima and animus, which also refers to Adam and Eve, hence making Akai ringo far more likely to reference the corruption of Adam and Eve (or whatever dieties you choose, a lot of religions have similar stories) than Snow White like was my first connection. More on that later. Anyway, anima is the feminine side of things, and the lyrics tell of the process of awakening anima, basically.
Shadow, meanwhile, is the acknowledgement. In Shadow’s lyrics... Shadow is the unconscious, what the protagonist doesn’t know about themselves, or doesn’t acknowledge. Shadow is also connected with anima and animus, as recognizing the shadow is the prerequisite for awakening anima (or animus, but here we’re talking about anima). So in Shadow, Yuuki is recognizing his shadow and coming to te
