त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे
सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम् ।
उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान्मृत्योर्मुक्षीय मामृतात्
tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭi-vardhanam
urvārukam iva bandhanān mṛtyor mukṣīya māmṛtāt

"OM. We worship and adore you, O three-eyed one, O Shiva. You are sweet gladness, the fragrance of life, who nourishes us, restores our health, and causes us to thrive. As, in due time, the stem of the cucumber weakens, and the gourd is freed from the vine, so free us from attachment and death, and do not withhold immortality."

tryambakaṃ - Acc. try-ámbaka - three-eyed
yajāmahe - 1 per. pl. yaj- cl. 1 P. A. - to worship, adore, honour ( with sacrifice orﾠoblations)
sugandhiṃ - Acc. su-gándhi - sweet-smelling, fragrant, virtuous, pious
puṣṭi-vardhanam - Acc. púshṭi-várdhana - increasing prosperity
urvārukam - Nom. urvāruka (id. urvāru(s)) - a species of cucumber, Cucumis Usitatissimus
iva - ind. like, in the same manner as
bandhanān - Abl. bandhana - n. the act of binding, tying, fastening, fettering, peduncle (of a flower)
mṛtyor - Abl. mṛtyu - m. death, dying
mukṣīya - Imp. muc - cl. 6 P. A. to loose, let loose, free, let go, slacken, release, liberate from,to relinquish, abandon, leave, quit, give up, set aside, depose
mā - ind. not, that not, lest, would that not, do not
amṛtāt - Abl. a-mṛta - n. immortality

Мы почитаем трехглазого, благоухающего, приумножающего благо. Как огурец (Урварука - "бешеный огурец", отстреливающийся от стебля при созревании) от стебля, пусть освободит от смерти, не от бессмертия (пусть не откладывает, не отвергает бессмертие).
