As we march in fractured locations, we won't drag our regrets. "Just don't break formation." Keep a steady watch over your shoulder. (Never celebrate until it's over) As we await further orders from the lips of those who kiss.
And as you're standing on the outside of your own body, you're alone only on the inside.
We are the rapture. I've finally found what I've been searching after. In wreckage rising from disaster. A hope that burns amidst the ashes. We are the rapture.
"See, there is this thing that they call regret and with our bodies inside out we will disagree, and disbelieve, and often cry ourselves to sleep at night."
But we will be alright, for we're alive now.
"This city will never sleep alone again. That I can promise. And everything you thought life meant it's over, the truth is we never lived at all. So take a look to your left and a look to your right, you're all connected now for the rest of your life. Born again right on these streets for all to see. Some days you might feel sad, you might feel sorrow, but I promise you the sun will rise again tomorrow. And I'm sorry for the pain that you might feel, but I promise you wounds were only made to heal. Let the scars be a reminder that you'll never be that way again. Let us celebrate. It's over."
We are the rapture. I finally see the light you held inside. We have the rest of our lives. We are the rapture
