Glassy water shines in the sun, light breeze brings the smell of the sea.
In the village the harvest is in full swing.
Christians prepare themselves for the winter, thanking their God.
They'll give the part of their property to the local church
But suddenly fishmen notice strange silhouettes in the horizon.

The dragonships carve the waves.
The peasants hide behind the walls, get themselves armed, doing their best.
Now they pray, asking to protect their lives
But drakkars approach and the north warriors land.

Their hands are strong, and their swords are sharp.
Their armors shine with patches of light.
Vikings are walking with courage and pride.
Daylight will fade in the fight.

They’ll fight for profit, and their enemies for their lives
But nevertheless their forces are unequal.
The siege is not long,
As a deadly cloud the Vikings burst into the village.
Their swords cut the christians’ arms and their bones and entrails all at once,
The ground saturates with the blood of people who used to walk it not long ago.

The prayers for the saving weren’t heard.

The houses are burnt down, and the local church is next.
The gates were broken open, the priests were cut.
All the things were plundered.
They took the golden crosses off the dead men and threw the bodies into the streets.

Their hands are strong, and their swords are sharp.
Their armors shine with patches of light.
The hanged men and scorched earth,
That's all they’ve left behind.
