03. Celestial Blue

‘When I awoke, I was upon a small hill and it was pouring white rain.
There was no one around, and the only thing left was the warmth on my lips.
Why was I here?
Even though I’d finally found her, I hadn’t been able to tell her, “let’s go home”.
What had happened?
Before she left, Shisu whispered something in my ear, but…
for some reason, I can’t recall what it was.’

Were our feelings decided the moment we met?
There is no way I can doubt that I’d been happy.
You’re proof of that.

A lot of things changed,
and we were parted, and yet
there are still some things that have remained the same.

There were nights when I regretted having met you.
The pale blue sky was too far, it felt like I’d never reach it.

There were times I worried you’d forget about me completely.
And yet, I couldn’t deny the feelings I felt deep within my heart…

My eyes are not the only things that have dampened.
Since when have the small rain drops washed everything away?
They keep falling.

‘She erased his memories of them both,

The pale witch’s gentle magic
left behind nothing but words,
and cleared everything.

I mean, anyone can be happy.
Even if this isn’t the end you wanted,
your heart at least will stop crying…

It seems I still can’t say it so easily, just like back then, but…
I wanted to say that I’ll never forget your pale face.

The sky dimmed through the white rain, but the only painful thought that crossed my mind then was,
that you’re out there, somewhere, beneath the sky in that lonely landscape.

‘I’m still grateful to you, but…
this time, it really is goodbye…’

Hurt, and hurting, to keeping it at bay;
why, Shisferia…?
The promise you made still hasn’t faded.
It’s still right here, in my heart…
