Shad-ritu Varnan - description of the six seasons. Following the invocation to the goddess Durga (Vaishno Devi), the song beginning from the month of Chaitra (March-April), describes the first six months of the year. It is described by a separated lover. In the summer months she suffers from the heat of love, in rainy season tears pour down her cheeki, and so on. Sung in Dogri dialect by Nanak Chand and vocal drone by two other Dogra peasants from village Daichak, Jammu.
