I used to be a pacifist,
I used to believe in peace
Now I wonder: was I right or just naive?
Can somebody tell me what is going on -
Has time changed or is it me?

Wish I could go back -
to the good old days of simple fun
People weren't busy -
fighting one against the other
Streets were full of assholes -
just like they are today
We used to laugh about them -
set out to change the world

Ideals all gone down the drain,
can't say that I am much better
Is this all part of growing old
Or do we lack the strength
to keep on fighting?

Now my point of view - is more that of a cynic
And I think that sucks - and I think that sucks!
