MA-KA HAN1-NYA-HA-RA-MI1-TA1 SHIN1 GYO1 Maha Prajnaparamita1 Heart Sutra:
KAN-JI1-ZAI BO-SA GYO2 JIN1 HAN1-NYA-HA-RA-MI1-TA1 Avalokita bodhisattva2 practices deep prajnaparamita
JI2 SHO1 KEN GO UN KAI1 KU DO I1 SAI KU1 YAKU1 then clearly sees five skandhas3 all empty of everything suffering [and] hardship.
SHA-RI1-SHI1 SHIKI1 FU1 I2 KU KU FU1 I2 SHIKI1 Sariputra4, form not different emptiness, emptiness not different form;
SHIKI1 SOKU1 ZE1 KU KU SOKU1 ZE1 SHIKI1 form then is emptiness, emptiness then is form.
JU SO1 GYO2 SHIKI2 YAKU2 BU NYO ZE1 Feeling, perception, volition, consciousness3 also again [the] same are.
SHA-RI1-SHI1 ZE1 SHO1 HO KU SO1 Sariputra, are all dharmas5 empty appearances:
FU1 SHO2 FU1 METSU FU1 KU2 FU1 JO1 FU1 ZO FU1 GEN1 not born, not destroyed, not dirty, not clean, not increasing, not decreasing.6
ZE1 KO1 KU CHU MU SHIKI1 MU JU SO1 GYO2 SHIKI2 Is therefore emptiness amid no form, no feeling, perception, volition, consciousness;
MU GEN2 NI BI ZE2 SHIN2 I3 no eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind;
MU SHIKI1 SHO3 KO MI2 SOKU2 HO no color, sound, smell, taste, touch, dharma5;
MU GEN2 KAI2 NAI SHI2 MU I3 SHIKI2 KAI2 no eye-element etc. until no mind-consciousness-element7;
MU MU MYO YAKU2 MU MU MYO JIN2 no ignorance8, also no ignorance end;
NAI SHI2 MU RO SHI3 YAKU2 MU RO SHI JIN2 etc. until no aging [and] death8, also no aging [and] death end;
MU KU1 SHU METSU DO1 no suffering, origin, cessation, path9;
MU CHI YAKU2 MU TOKU no knowledge10, also no attainment11.
I4 MU SHO2 TOKU KO1 BO-DAI1-SA-TA2 E HAN1-NYA-HA-RA-MI1-TA1 Because nothing that attains, therefore bodhisattva follows prajnaparamita.
KO1 SHIN1 MU KEI GE Therefore heart [has] no mental hindrances12.
MU KEI GE KO1 MU U KU3 FU2 No mental hindrances, therefore no exist fear [and] fright.
ON RI2 I1 SAI TEN DO2 MU SO1 KU4 GYO3 NE-HAN2 Far apart everything confused inverted dream thoughts ultimate end Nirvana.
SAN ZE3 SHO1 BUTSU E HAN1-NYA-HA-RA-MI1-TA1 [In] three worlds13 all Buddhas follow prajnaparamita,
KO1 TOKU A-NOKU-TA1-RA SAN-MYAKU-SAN-BO-DAI1 therefore attain anuttara samyaksambodhi14.
KO1 CHI HAN1-NYA-HA-RA-MI1-TA1 Therefore know prajnaparamita
ZE1 DAI2 JIN3 SHU ZE1 DAI2 MYO SHU is great divine mantra, is great bright mantra,
ZE1 MU JO2 SHU ZE1 MU TO DO3 SHU is no higher mantra, is no equal equal mantra,
NO JO I1 SAI KU1 able [to] remove everything suffering.
SHIN3 JITSU FU1 KO2 [It is] true [and] real, not false.
KO1 SETSU HAN1-NYA-HA-RA-MI1-TA1 SHU SOKU1 SETSU SHU WATSU Therefore speak prajnaparamita mantra, then speak mantra, saying:
GYA-TEI GYA-TEI HA-RA-GYA-TEI HA-RA-SO3-GYA-TEI BO-JI3 SO-WA-KA Gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha!15
