Born and raised in the birthplace of House Music, Paul Johnson has released a vast amount of music for some of the most consistently underground dance labels before hooking up with Peacefrog Records. 12" releases on the likes of Cajual Records / Relief Records and Dance Mania led to his debut album release "Bump Talkin'" in 1996. This and the follow up "Feel The Music" became two of the most talked about releases of their time. His remix work for Stacy Kidd, Joey Beltram, Green Velvet, Armando, Ce Ce Peniston, Ron Trent, K-Alexi, and Steve Poindexter made its way into all the big jocks boxes, many of which remain there to this day. Due to being injured in a shooting accident in 1987, he uses a wheelchair.

Paul Leighton Johnson (born 1971) is an American house DJ and producer. He is best known for his self taught D.J. style of house music and his 1999 single, "Get Get Down", which became a worldwide hit.

He first began DJing in Chicago in 1984 when he was 13, and started working as a producer in 1987, doing tracks for Chicago house labels Dance Mania, Relief, Cajual, Nite Life, Undaground Therapy, Defected, DJax Up Beats, Peacefrog, and Moody.[1] His tune "Get Get Down" became an international house hit, sustaining airplay for several years in clubs[1] and was a top 5 hit in the UK Singles Chart.[2] The song reached number-one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in December 1999.[3] In 1997 Johnson and his partner Radek started the Chicago house label Dust Traxx, and has worked with Robert Armani under the name Traxmen and with Gant Garrard as Brother 2 Brother. His 2004 track, "Follow This Beat", hit #8 on the US Dance chart.[4]

Johnson is unable to walk and DJs in a wheelchair, due to an accidental gunshot in his shoulder on May 17, 1987
