並んで寄り添う人と鬼の姿
疑うことを知らぬほど小さな小さなその姿

Once there was a human and an oni that held each other close
They were both so young they didn’t know to doubt each other…

信頼のその証
ゆびきりげんまんひとつ

Of their future neither it
Nor they did know

語る者さえもはや途絶えたほどには
悠か遠くそこにあった密なる絆は変わらずに

This tale of love in a fairy tale land
Tells that after a time, the two made their vows

ならば笑おうと
未来を語る

“Now let us smile and laugh!”
They would talk of their futures

それはどこまでも
幸せな姿

sore wa doko made mo

And there were none
So happy as they

幾年が過ぎ去って
はたと帰らない彼は

ikutoshi ga sugisatte
hatato kaeranai kare wa

Some years passed them by
And then suddenly he did not come home

行方を探されるまま
変わり果てたその姿
哀れな鬼に晒した

その姿から

Looking over him

もはや約束など
破られたのだと知った

mohaya yakusoku nado
yaburareta no da to shitta

Was that their

咆哮　慟哭　大地揺らす
もはや物言わぬ骸の前で

houkou doukoku daichi yurasu
mohaya monoiwanu mukuro no mae de

She screamed and she cried, shaking the very earth
In front of his corpse that would no longer speak

「嘘吐きめ！！　裏切り者め！
約束一つ守れぬ軟弱者め…！」

“uso tsukime!! uragirimono me!
yakusoku hitotsu mamorenu nanjyakumono me…!”

“You liar!!! You betrayed me!!
You weakling! You couldn’t even keep this one promise…!”

糾弾の声も遂には虚しく響くのみ

kyuudan no koe mo tsui ni wa munashiku hibiku nomi

And eventually her accusations echoed emptily.

叫び果て、
　疲れ果て、
　　立ち尽くす、
　　　鬼の目には、
　　　　ー涙。

sakebi hate,
　tsukarehate,
　　tachitsukusu,
　　　oni no me ni wa,
　　　　-namida.

Her voice lost,
　Exhausted
　　She stood
　　　And in her eyes
　　　　-Were tears.
