THE DYING SUN OF OCTOBER
In the eyes of this autumn
I find the reflection of mine,
In the tears of rain I behold
My scattering dreams…
And I gather the grey pearls
Of the withering skies,
And they die on my palms,
Like fading out hopes…
The black drying up leaves
Exhale the scent of demise,
They cover the bottom
Of my sick hollow heart…
The rays of the setting sun
Are shedding slowly my blood
On the dead solid ground,
Hardened like my misery…
Chorus
Life is a torn off leaf,
A play which is nearly over,
And I am going down
With the dying sun of October.
My dreary thoughts are floating
Along the cold, lifeless rivers,
The burnt images of memories
Are sinking in their depths…
The heartbeat is getting softer,
It’s melting like perishing snow,
The snow I’m not going to see,
For autumn is taking me away…
I see its measured dancing
In the quiet oscillation
Of the cool transparent air,
The waltz of renunciation…
And the rays of the setting sun
Are shedding slowly my blood
On the dead solid ground,
Hardened like my suffering…
Chorus
Life is a torn off leaf,
A play which is nearly over,
And I am going down
With the dying sun of October.
