Tunnel is an outlier within the techno scene, exclusively performing his own original material and that of his label, Webuildmachines. With an emphasis on unconventional sound design, Tunnel is best described as a sound sculptor working within the genre of Techno. His compositional forms combine elements of sub bass, broken rhythms, and melodic abstractions into a sonic tapestry, existing somewhere between fervor and seance, chaos
and artistry.

Based in Chicago, inspired by the echoes of Detroit, Tunnel launched his record label, webuildmachines, in 2013. His steady output of releases over the last several years have garnered high praise and charted recognition from big players within the electronic music community – Dave Clarke, Surgeon, Ben Sims, Paula Temple, Tommy Four Seven, Drumcell, and Claude Young Jr., to name but a few. Tunnel will continue to search for new
sounds and structures, getting deeper into the journey. “Through darkness, towards the light within.”
