The Martians have stolen my television But they left my poetry They're learning about our condition By watching Coronation Street Maybe they're working out the final cost And maybe God is made of candyfloss
Life will kill us all one day
Their starship erased my tapes and videos They scorched my garden with the heat Then they made instant friends with my answerphone They hear the tone but they don't speak Sometimes I find it hard to understand Immortal logic has no master plan
Life will kill us all one day
