En ny tid kont... Hvor vinteren blaaser og pisker
Det er ikke ly aa finne for den ensomme
Pandere som maatte søke fred i Nordland

Her oppe paa fjeller ved inidnattsilden kan man endu se
De komme som ville dyr ut av skogsmørket
Over trollberg...

To Hordaland came the plague and brought death and suffering
In the witch forest was planted roots for a kingdom that would come

Pagan country, the Viking country
Black/dark Souls country, the Viking country

While the waterfalls and streams of Telemark still flowing in swift currents
as eternity itself

A new time came where the thunder rumbled and the earth trembled
Like when the trolls war over who will rule in the giant home

A new time came where the winter blows and whips
There is no shelter to find for the lonely
Wanderer who had to seek peace/solitude in Nordland

Up here by the midnight fire you can still see
They come as wild animals out of the dark forest
Over the troll mountain

A few additional comments (if you don't know it already):
Hordaland, Telemark and Nordland are (3 of the) counties in Norway
"Pesta" - The plague - most likely refers to the Black Death - "Svartedauden" - which Bergen (in Hordaland) was one of the first places in Norway where it arose.
Jotunheim is the home of the giants in the Norse mythology. (It is also the name of a large mountain area in Norway)
