Let me tell you a story about a boy and his father. As a spud, he only had room in his heart for fun. He would run in circles carefree as he enjoyed being dizzy. He would sneak beneath the cracks and shadows. (He's broken now, he's broken now) Through cracks and shadows like a ninja would. And that was ok but he's broken now.
Keep your arms inside this dizzy ride. Let the mind divide and be voiceless. Look at you making friends now baby boy. Lace up your boots, we're gonna enter the voice.
But the boys skills of sneaking like a ninja, were far more developed than his father was aware. Sway which way. How could you be so blind?
As his heart broke, he begged his son to stop. He pleaded him to quit cuz he knew that it'd tear him apart. But his grown son, he had his own plans. He got offended that his dad would try to hold his hand!
He knew he had to put an end to his spud's behavior, at the risk of losing his son's love. So with all his respect and hope in his broken heart, he gave the boy an ultimatum.
Know that I love you son, know that I love ... son.
"Get clean or get out", thinking he might wake up. He stood his ground like a mountain lion. (give me more, give me more, I've gotta have it) The boy hit the road thinking he could succeed.
His father was enraged, his mother fell in tears. An Angel held mom back, for Death's grip she feared. "Don't you take my son!" "I've got nothing left to fear."
