18. Set Fire to Flames - Déjà, Comme des Trous de Vent, Comme Reproduit With "Déjà, Comme des Trous de Vents, Comme Reproduit" Set Fire to Flames open their second album, Telegraphs in Negative/Mouths Trapped in Static, in hypnotic fashion. By layering mesmerizing guitar lines gradually over one another, the track is immediately engaging, and the addition of metallic, eastern flavored percussion makes it a downright intoxicating opener. Although the album as a whole at times falls into the trap of avant-grade excess, this shimmering example of the bands potential and haunting brilliance stands as one of their finest moments. As far as album openers go, few have unveiled a band's true spirit as perceptively and completely as "Déjà, Comme des Trous de Vents, Comme Reproduit." (Matt Fernell)
