Quando Zefiro danza prendendo Flora per mano,
il mar Tirreno si muta in azzurro e giunge la primavera.
When Zefiro takes Flora’s hand to dance,
Tyrrhenian sea changes in blue and reaches the spring.

Finisce il cupo inverno il porto è pieno di barche tornate a casa.
Quel ragazzo che cammina lungo il molo con le guance tinte tornerà dal suo amor.
In the end of dark winter, the port is full of boats which coming back to home.
That boy who walks along the pier with cheeks dyed return from his love.

Per il gentile vento che soffia da est il ciel si fa via via sereno,
i pesci risvegliatisi dal lungo sonno sporgon furtivamente la testa tra le onde.
For the gentle wind that blows from the east, the sky gradually becomes clear,
the fish awakened from the long sleep and rise his head between the waves.

Quando Zefiro sussurra a Flora parole d’amore,
i boccioli dei fiori si gonfian di rosa e giunge la primavera.
When Zefiro whispers to Flora words of love,
the buds of flowers inflate into rose and reaches the spring.

I fischi a vapore giungono alla banchina il porto è pieno di gente che va in paesi lontani.
Con la speranza e l’inquietudine nel cuore, i pionieri raggiungeranno terre mai　viste.
The steam whistles come to the dock port which full of people who want to go to distant countries.
With hope and anxiety in the heart, the pioneers reach land.

Il vento dell’est insieme ai fiori si dirige verso nuove città,
le rondini, cantando la canzone appena imparata, gioiscono della nuova stagion.
The wind in the East along with flowers towards new cities,
the swallows, singing the song just learned, the new season rejoice.
