Unless the LORD had given me help, I would soon have dwelt in the silence of death.
You broaden the path beneath me, so that my ankles do not turn. I pursued my enemies and overtook them; I did not turn back till they were destroyed. I crushed them so that they could not rise; You armed me with strength for battle; You made my adversaries bow at my feet.
He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust!
He will cover me with His feathers, His faithfulness will be my shield and rampart. I will not fear the terror of night, not the arrow that flies by day, not the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, not the plague that destroys at midday.
He is my refuge and my Fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; He answers him from his holy heaven With the saving power of His right hand.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses, But we trust in the name of the LORD our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, But we rise up and stand firm.
