Deep, dark, melancholic ambience infused with lush pads echoing throughout the rhythmic elements of dub." Sonitus Eco is the moniker and project of dub techno maltese producer Justin Meli. Having a vast discography throughout the years with releases on labels like Silent Season, ROHS!!, Subself Records, Evasion Room Records, Pinkpube and Deepindub - his unique sound knows no boundaries. 2012 saw his debut album "it is loneliness that makes the loudest noise” on Silent Season, and also remixes for several artists over the years.
In 2015 he joined forces with maltese dj and avid music collector Serial Depth to start a small independent label called Haar Records. Their aim for the project is to share their vision of fog filled, mist-oriented techno. The first release is set to be coming out on vinyl in early 2016.
Sonitus Eco also forms part of a live project with another local artist as ‘Haddiela’. Their sound can be described as floor techno, derived from modular systems and FM synthesis.

"From time to time I do a silent season mixes , especially when playing in outdoor venues , as i feel the music has a special connection with the outdoors . I recorded this podcast while playing live at statix festival 2015 , Malta . playing only tracks from the wandering 2 compilation , which has more than 3 hours of blissful music"..
