... It is the oldest rifle company in Vietnam today. The only rifle company of the 198th Brigade which has had a Medal of Honor winner. They live by the motto "Can Do Sir", and this is the spirit of the Gunfighters

About the fightinest bunch in the 198th
Lead by a Captain(1) from Boston Mass
When he's after Charlie he's a kicking ass

This fighting group has got to be good
Cause they came from the hills of good old Fort Hood
They took a boat ride across the deep blue sea
And came to this land to zap the VC

Like every machine it has to have parts
So Wendy(2) is first, it's where we'll start
When it comes to fighting he is no joke
Cause Wendy's bunch is a bringing smoke
When it comes to fighting they have learned all the tricks
So they have earned their call sign, Gunfighter 1/6

Now don't get me wrong, they are not alone
Cause Bowman's(3) there like a wall of stone

Right after them comes the BB and T(4)
They dish out the lead like it was flying free

Mortar support in the dark of the night
They call Daddy Lunsford(5) to give them some light

The moral of this story you all should know well
When you mess with the Gunfighters your gonna catch hell
If you see us coming better step aside
Cause a lot of Charles didn't and a lot of Charles died
