The screen showed me signs of my baby son.
He was curled up inside your stomach.

I looked down smiling, your eyes colliding inside your head.
Your pulse was crashing you were blacking out, time stopped.
The nurses dashing around you anxiously calling for assistance.
The hairs on my neck stood up on end, my heart missed a beat.
A puddle of blood laying on the floor told me everything.
they showed me the door, a nurse ran past me, didn't say a word.
In the corridor you could have heard a pin drop.
I stood there teeth grating, anxiously waiting for news.
I told your sister what I saw your mum broke down and cried.
In the waiting room we heard that my son was alive, you survived.
Your heart was beating, you were sleeping, you looked okay.
You won't recall what happened the day my son was born.
It is a day in my life that I will never forget.
