Review:

Meir Shalev's book «Business was so» draws a line in the leaving an era construction the modern state of "Israel". Certainly, it can be compared to Nikolay Ostrovsky's work «How the Steel Was Tempered», El Clásico of the Soviet literature, where is perfectly represented construction of a socialist system in separately taken country on a side of mad fanaticism protagonist Pavka Korchagin, and Meir Shalev undertook to describe a socialism construction in separately taken house. And it turned out successfully, the main character took his own grandmother, in other words, the writer tells a fragment from his the childhood that draws to itself bigger interest from readers. Sure, that the book becomes over time classics of the Israeli literature, with the subsequent capture in the school plan for studying at literature lessons, but to run so far hardly worth it, simply open the book and take pleasure in creativity of the writer from the Promised Land.
